Gymnastics conditioning will begin Monday, October 7th. Conditioning is every Monday and Wednesday from 4:30-5:45 in the Davidson Wrestling Room.
General Program Info
Runs from the first week of November to the first week of March
There are all levels of competition: Basic Gymnastics training required – But skills through level 9 and most level 10 can be competed
Practice times are split between one of the schools (Hilliard Darby for the 2013-14 Season) and Fliptastic! Gymnastics. Practice Times/Days TBD- usually practice between 4-5 days/week. Practices run from 2-3 hours each
There are approx. 11-14 meets per season- They consist of regular season dual/tri/quad meets, Invitationals, OCC Championship meet, and the District Championship meet- Qualifiers at the District meet would compete at the State Gymnastics Meet the 1st weekend of March
Each Gymnast must pay the School Participation fee- There are also costs associated with leotards, warm-up leotards, and warm-ups. We do have some fundraising activities to offset some of the costs. More detail will be given at the mandatory“Meet the team” meeting.
We will hold a “Flip-a Thon” during the beginning of the season. Other fundraising includes getting sponsorships for a team poster and selling sweatshirts at our Invitational. Participation in Fundraising is required.
If you are not sure if competition is for you- we have stat/manager position available- this is an opportunity to still be involved- 3 years of being a Stat earns a Varsity letter in that sport.
We offer conditioning in the fall . This is not mandatory- However, if you are not participating in a fall sport- it is highly encouraged for you to attend. It is a great way to start getting prepped for the season! Conditioning will be held during the month of October- More info to come on Times/Days.
