Shawn Johnston, Head Coach, Sprints and Long Jump
Coach Johnston is in his 9th year coaching and 1st as Head Boys Track Coach. Coach Johnston is originally from Worthington, Ohio where he attended Thomas Worthington High School. While there he was a member of the 1999 Division 1 State Championship Team and earned All-OCC, All-District, All-Regional, and All-State Honors during his career. He received a football scholarship to the University of Findlay where he played for a year before transferring to Otterbein College. While at Otterbein he was a member of the 2003 OAC Conference Championship Track Team. He began his coaching career at Thomas Worthington as an assistant sprint and jumps coach for the boys and girls team. While there Coach Johnston had the privilege of coaching several OCC, District, and Regional Champions as well as State Qualifiers. This is Coach Johnston’s 5th year coaching in Hilliard. He currently is teaching at Gahanna Lincoln High School and resides in Dublin.
